This self-propelled mower is very effective for small and midsize membrane removal projects such as the parking deck pictured above. A 2,000 psi pressure washer was used to check the quality of the removal.
High Pressure Hydraulic Mowers
The high pressure mower spreads the force of the water being pumped to it by using a spray bar with multiple nozzles. It is therefore used for the removal of elastomeric membrane, epoxies, urethanes, carpet glue, and mastic as well as concrete scarification. The rotation of the mower, much like the rotation of a lawn mower blade, can not be adjusted, but the speed of the advance can be. The speed at which the mower advances determines the amount of removal underneath the mower. Typical removal rates of membrane surfaces average 180 to 300 square feet per hour using the high pressure hydraulic mower.
The speed of the high pressure mower unit can be varied to clean membrane and coatings, but be effective in light scarification applications as well. We have both self-propelled and push mower units available for different applications. Pressure ranges vary from 10,000psi (10K) to 40,000psi (40K). Pictured is a 20K mower used mostly for cleaning.
