Hotel carpert glue removal

Technical Services has worked on many hotels doing large scale balcony renovations. This particular project was at the Myrtle Beach Resort in South Carolina.

Concrete balconies are often covered with carpet, which has been glued to the concrete surface or tiles held in with mastic. When these materials separate from the concrete or just need to be replaced, the removal and then reapplication of the adhesives is necessary to restore them to a safe and durable condition. This process can be time consuming and back breaking work using scrapers or other mechanical means. Ultra-high pressure water is very effective at removing glue and mastic from these concrete surfaces so that the putback materials have a chance at a quality, long lasting bond with the surface. Below are some pictures of project setup and containment strategies.
